Philippine Culinary Tourism Organization (PCTO) is a registered non-profit, non-government organization of the culinary tourism and hospitality industry in the Philippines.
Its primary purpose is to promote the Philippines as a culinary destination and to promote Filipino Cuisine to International and domestic tourists. It also aims to undertake projects that will upgrade and enhance professionalism in the culinary and hospitality industry as well as promote unity and mutual cooperation among those in the industry and other instrumentalities engage in culinary tourism, in order to protect the interest and welfare of the industry.
The organization aims to encourage high ethical standard in the culinary industry, including fair and honest competition among members, at the same time act as the official single voice for and in behalf of the members in matters of government regulatory policies, laws affecting the culinary industry.
Part of its purpose is also to exercise dynamic leadership in promoting goodwill, undertaking, fellowship with association in the culinary tourism industry whether regional, national and international.
To be the National Organization of the culinary tourism industry
To foster cooperation among food and beverage manufacturers and providers, as well as destinations and travel industry professionals, students and the academe to package and promote their culinary treasures as marketable and sellable attractions.
To develop partnership among these groups to facilitate product development, education, research and promotion among the industry players and contribute to the overall economic development of the country. To partner with other Culinary Tourism organizations in various countries which will eventually pave the way for the other countries to know, appreciate our local culture and partner with our industry players.
To promote product development and marketing by facilitating collaboration among professionals and key industry players.
To help organization members in the marketing of their products and services in various media fronts including television, radio, newspapers and magazine.
To provide an advertising avenue to members with the publication of a Culinary Travel Magazine.
To produce a television program that will showcase culinary tourism and provide another venue for advertising for members.
To provide a platform for dialogue among members and government organizations to thresh out issues and problems concerning the industry and chart plans to its development.
To help the members understand the future of the culinary tourism industry by continuously educating them on the trends and development in the industry in the country and in the world.
To foster cooperation among members in making the industry known to non-members and encourage them to support the development of the industry.
To educate students on the importance of culinary tourism as a career and encourage the academe to make culinary tourism a part of their curriculum
